Are you kidding me? Really? I mean, really?

Abracadabra is a collection of nonsense syllables that, when formed together, still mean absolutely nothing, but it is often spoken for effect by old-school magicians before performing an illusion.

How the hell does this nonsense “word” warrant an entry in the dictionary? I bet that if I look ahead in my dictionary I won’t find a definition of phht, the sound one makes to slough something off, but to my mind abracadabra has no more right to be in the dictionary than phht.

It’s nonsense, if you ask me. I’m not going to grant abracadabra any more authority by saying anything further about it.

And, with that, abracadabra, this entry is ended.
