acclaim

Acclaim is enthusiastic praise or, as a verb, to praise enthusiastically.

Because I am me, I recognize this definition more in theory than in practice.

Don’t get me wrong, I would welcome any acclaim you might offer for this project in the comments section on any of its entries. The entry on acclaim, for example, would be a particularly appropriate spot.

It’s just that I don’t expect acclaim. That’s because I have low self-confidence (just because you have low self-confidence that doesn’t mean that you aren’t a total nincompoop) and because no one, apparently other than you, is reading this. Nevertheless, I would welcome the acclaim if, by some miracle, it should arrive.
