For me, the word acclivity looks like it should mean something other than what it does mean. But, for the life of me, I can’t figure out what that other thing is. Maybe because acclivity has the same ending of proclivity my mind thinks the two words should be related somehow; possibly second cousins, twice removed. They’re not.

Alright, so my mind doesn’t function normally. What can I say that others haven’t already cruelly said about me?

An acclivity is simply an upward slope, no matter what it looks to me like it should or should not mean.

Why they couldn’t just say an ascent rather than an acclivity and stop messing with my mind is beyond me. But, it is what it is.

That’s enough riffing on the word acclivity. This is a long project. Upward and onward, I say.
