Accomplished is the past tense of the verb accomplish. For example, you might say, “He accomplished great things, but only in his own mind. Everyone else thought he was a worthless bum who had never achieved anything.”

Accomplished can also be an adjective that is used to indicate that something was successfully completed, as in, “an accomplished task.”

There is not much more that can be said about either of those two meanings.

However, accomplished also has another meaning. An accomplished person is someone with a lot of experience and a lot of achievements under his or her belt. At least, that’s the theory. I wouldn’t know. I’m not accomplished. Not even close. So, there’s not much more that I can say about that meaning of accomplished either. Sorry about that.
