acetic acid

The dictionary definition of acetic acid is: a strong-smelling liquid that is the primary ingredient of vinegar.

Now I know why they came up with the name vinegar. It’s a marketing ploy. How many people would want to ask for some acid with their fish and chips or on their salad?

Come to think of it, there might be a market for that. In fact, “Have some acid with it” might have been an exceptionally strong tag line in a particular market segment back in the 1960s. Timothy Leary could have done celebrity endorsements for it.

But that’s something completely different.
