Adipose sounds like what models do in advertisements, namely pose, doesn’t it? “Why don’t you join me for lunch later? I’ve got an adipose gig I’ve got to do this afternoon.” That might sound like the right  use of the word adipose, but it’s not.

Adipose means fatty, particularly animal fat, or used for the storage of fat.

Hmm. Come to think of it, maybe that was an appropriate use of the word adipose.

Maybe what the speaker was saying was, “I’ve got a gig doing a commercial for fat-laden fast food. They need another extra. Why don’t you join me for an on-screen lunch while I shovel several pounds of animal fat into me.” Probably not.
