ambassador

An ambassador (noun) is sort of like a toreador except rather than fighting bulls, as toreadors do, ambassadors battle asses, aka donkeys.

Ambassadors practice their profession on all corners of the Earth, which is exceptionally difficult because the Earth is generally sphere-like and, therefore, has few corners. Being an ambassador is an enviable profession because it possesses a certain cachet, while being less dangerous and much more rarely fatal than being a toreador.
