An ambiguous (noun) is an animal that is a cross between an amphibian (any amphibian) and a particularly large hippopotamus. Nobody knows exactly what an ambiguous would look like because that cross has never occurred in nature or in a natural or unnatural laboratory. Thus, the word ambiguous is not used very often. And, out of necessity due to lack of knowledge, the theoretical animal that would be an ambiguous is not all that well defined.
If you, despite all of the odds being against it, do spot an ambiguous in the wild, don’t approach it! Instead, see your doctor immediately and have him or her change the prescription for your meds. Either that or lay off the recreational drugs you’ve been using.
